Sounds like you really need to sit yourself down and ask yourself if you are truely interested in your new man. Since you know that you're not the type to fall in love right away then you're obviously the better one to judge how long you'll need till you know if you have real feeligsg for your current guy.

If you think you could be happier with the old one, maybe you can think about going back, but there's usually a reason you broke up in the first place. Sometimes you have to think with your head and the heart will follow. Just my two cents.

I don't know if you can ever completely get rid of your memories about your past, especially with your first love. I've been with my husband now 3 years, and I still think about my ex occasionally.

Concentrate on having fun, not where you think your feelings "should" be at. If in a few months it appears he is getting attached to you, and you still feel no spark, then would be the time to reevaluate. I would not talk about feelings for your ex now. Then he will feel as if he is hopelessly competing. This is your personal business, so just monitor yourself, see how things go, and just try to go out and have a great time.

It will take you some time to get over him as I said in the other post, but you will do it. I promise that you will get through this.
