Nothing wrong with "hang out", just not what I'm looking for. For me it means that the person doesn't want to get emotionally close to anyone, regardless what the reasons for "hanging out" might be.
I think many more people should put "hang out" in link profiles instead of "dating" and "long term", it would be much more honest and honourable on their part.
