The amp service for an RV is volt with a 3 prong receptacle and a single amp dedicated breaker. The 30 AMP is a standard ANSI C, TTP ( plug) / TTR (receptacle). This service is very simple to wire just follow the color coding for the connections if marked and use the correct size wire. 30backI'm installing a 30 amp breaker and outlet to plug the RV into. I have the breaker in and the outlet will be right next to the panel in the garage. Seems easy enough to wire but when inserting the wire into the rear of the outlet (black/white/ green)- does the wire just snap into the rear and then tighten. Most household equipment that draws 30 amps, such as clothes driers and ovens, is operated on volt circuits and therefore uses dual pole circuit breakers. A recreational vehicle (RV) acts as a single appliance when plugged into shore power by a single cable. As an RV comprises many individual pieces of equipment.
