Exclusive but not in a relationship Good morning all, I have a tough situation that I'm trying to workout and I would appreciate any feedback. Met a girl online and started talking-- things started off casual and eventually back more serious after dating for two months. Now we've been dating for 5 months and it's becoming serious.
She was talking to another guy before she met me and wasn't really seeing him much. Of course now that we are becoming serious I've wanted for that door to be closed. She's assured that things with him are fading out and that she would taper off talking with him.

Before we actually reached this agreement I had to give an ultimatum-- that I wasn't okay with her talking with him and that I wanted exclusitivity. She said that she didn't want to lose me and that she would be exclusive and stop talking to the aforementioned male.
Just last week we had a really long talk about a lot of things, it was really nice to be able to talk so freely. We are the catch. Remember, this is an exclusive relationship, and if you're planning to take it to another level, then you need to do stuff to spice up things, and keep the relationship going. Does being exclusive mean your in a committed relationship? It doesn't mean he's gonna click here on you unless he's a huge assholeit just means that he wants to be able to break up with you at any point that he wants without too much trouble.
So now that we are exclusive, it raises the question on why we are not in a relationship. She says that she has always been in a relationship. Ever since high school she says that she would have a boyfriend and would rely on them She's Now this situation becomes a little more difficult because last week when we were laying in bed she brought up how she was starting to feel like she was in love with me.
All in all that's a great sign, yet we are not in a relationship.
When I ask her about seeing us becoming serious she says, "In the future". She says that relationships still just scare her because she's always had one. I'm trying to figure out how I can actually make this become one. I guess I'm confused.

Who knows if that person will show up tomorrow or not? This isnt reliable in any form or way. Still, people amaze me everyday so if you two can handle this, than good for you both. Now, you want a relationship because you two are exclusive to each other? You two already have a relationship.
